TIM SCHULZ

VP of Research & Engineering

Tim brings to SCYTHE a decade of experience in cybersecurity research and engineering, specializing in maturing research initiatives to fully-fledged products. He is the author of the Purple Maturity Model, and has given talks on purple teaming, adversary emulation, MITRE ATT&CK, and leadership. Tim draws from significant experience at two prestigious research institutions in Sandia National Laboratories and the MITRE Corporation as the foundation for his career before launching into the startup world. Combining a deep understanding of cybersecurity, adversary behavior modeling, and creativity, Tim is able to build bridges between experts and executive leadership to enable data-informed decisions.

Tim received his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa, and B.S. in Computer Science from Mississippi State University.
